Welcome to Uganda's pioneering Online Aquaculture One-Stop Shop, brought to you by Business Summit Africa and funded by the 11th European Union Development Fund in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) of the Government of Uganda. This innovative platform aims to provide both local and international stakeholders with instant access to the latest aquaculture information collected from MAAIF-approved aquaculture zones. Here, you will find comprehensive data on fish production systems, fish species, markets, and more. Furthermore, the platform offers convenient access to various government support services, including extension services, licensing, and other relevant assistance available through government agency portals. The current data available on this site was collected between April and May 2022 from 44 target districts located in the major aquaculture zones of Uganda. This data website plays a crucial role in complementing government efforts to promote the rapid growth of the aquaculture sector by enabling data-driven strategic decision-making.

During Interviews With A Few Taps

Testimony

As a small-scale hatchery owner in Serere District, I am glad that MAAIF took an initiative to enumerate all infrastructure and farmers involved in the aquaculture value chain. I have used the data on the O-OSS to guide me on where to go to find healthy fish seedlings to supply to my local fish farmers within my district and beyond.
